2027 — A Major Year for Sport

2027 is set to be a major year for sports travel, with three major international events providing exceptional opportunities for South African sports fans.

ICC Men's Cricket World Cup — South Africa, Zimbabwe & Namibia October–November 2027

South Africa will co-host the Cricket World Cup with Zimbabwe and Namibia. Eight South African cities will host matches, including Cape Town, Johannesburg, Durban, Pretoria, Gqeberha, Bloemfontein, Paarl and East London.

Men's Rugby World Cup — Australia 1 October–13 November 2027

Australia will host the Rugby World Cup, with the tournament running for six weeks across the country. The 2027 tournament will feature 24 teams.

FIFA Women's World Cup — Brazil 24 June–25 July 2027

Brazil will host the FIFA Women's World Cup across eight host cities, with 64 matches scheduled from 24 June to 25 July 2027.
